"Managing Ergonomics in the 1990's: A Discussion of the Science and Policy Issues," was held June 17-20, 1997, in Cincinnati, Ohio. The conference, sponsored by The Center for Office Technology and American Automobile Manufacturers Association, was a resounding success, bringing together Industry, Labor, Government, and Academics to discuss the science and policy issues surrounding ergonomics in the United States of America. With an OSHA proposed ergonomics standard on the horizon, the sessions provided valuable information, and in some cases stirred spirited comments and debate.
